Newcomers information: Newcomers Attend Free!

If Kingdom A&S/Crown List will be your first SCA event, welcome!

We’re so happy you’re joining us, especially at an event that showcases the best of the best that the SCA has to offer – stellar arts and sciences projects, chivalric fighting for the Crown, and of course, camaraderie and fellowship.

Welcome Home and the Coastal Newcomers Fund, two privately-run fundraising groups in the region, are happy to sponsor site fees for first-time SCA attendees! With the support of the populaces of Meridies and Trimaris, we raise funds throughout the year to help SCA newcomers get involved in this hobby that means so much to us. For this event, that means reimbursing your site fees so that you have a little more cash in your pocket (we recommend checking out the excellent merchants/vendors…).

How it works: for legal/financial reasons, the event can’t just offer free entry to newcomers, so you’ll need to register and pay upfront – either in advance via PayPal or at the gate. Hang onto that receipt – if you pay at the gate and get a paper receipt, we strongly recommend taking a picture of it on your phone so you don’t have to walk back to camp to retrieve it. Then, bring your receipt (paper or digital) to us between noon-2pm on Saturday and we will reimburse your entry fee in cash!

Where to find us: Dalla and Jessica will be in the main hall from 12pm-2pm on Saturday. Look for the blue signs – one with a white triquetra (Celtic knot) and the other with a white osprey (looks like an eagle) in flight. We look forward to meeting you and hope you have a wonderful time at your first SCA event!
